Man accused of forging checks on church bank account

MANCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Clay County man is accused of forging checks on a church bank account.

Deputies say 29-year old Joshua Jarvis, of Beech Creek Road, was found with a checkbook belonging to Garrard Holiness Church.  They say he wrote a check to himself from the account.

He’s also accused of trying to cash checks from the church’s account at different locations around the county, according to deputies.

Jarvis was taken to the Clay County Detention Center.
