Man accused of firing shot in Lexington business
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A shot goes off in a Lexington business and police say they have the man who fired it.
According to court documents, 30-year-old Alford Stokley came into the Game King on Winchester Road Sunday with a woman and two children.
An employee at the store says after Stokley traded in some items for money, he continued to look around the store while arguing with the two children. Another employee says Stokley began yelling “go f**k yourself” to the children.
Both employees say they then heard a gunshot come from the back of the store and saw the woman grab the two children and pull them away from Stokley.
They say Stokley, the woman and two children stayed in the store for another ten minutes then left.
According to court documents, a shell casing was found in the back of the store.
Police were given a copy of Stokley’s receipt from the store and they were able to track him down.
Stokley is charged with wanton endangerment and carrying a concealed deadly weapon.
Police say Stokley did not have a concealed weapon permit.
