UPDATE: Road in Versailles reopens after water main break

UPDATE (1:42 p.m.): A road in Versailles in now reopened after closing Monday night.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says McCracken Pike (KY 1659) is now open.

A section of the route between Kentucky Avenue and Steele Road was temporarily closed due to a water main break.

VERSAILLES, Ky. (WTVQ) – A water main break closed a stretch of road in Woodford County on Monday.

The state says McCracken Pike (KY 1659) between Kentucky Avenue and Steele Road in Versailles was closed around 6:30 p.m.

The state says drivers could detour by taking Kentucky Avenue to Clifton Road/KY 1964 or Camden Avenue to Frankfort Road/US 60.

Drivers could also take Steele Road/KY 1659 to KY 1964 or US 60.

There was no estimate given when the road was expected to reopen.
