Madison K9 unit busts pair for drugs
BEREA, Ky. (WTVQ) – A traffic stop Thuresday afternoon leads to the arrest of two people and the confscation of drugs and cash.
Berea Police officers stopped at car at about 3:45 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot of Pizza Hut. Officers called in the Madison County Sheriff’s Department K9 unit and drug dog , “Bo,” to check the car, according to the MCSO Facebook page.
Once he indicated drugs, officers recovered almost a
gram of heroin, 3,3 grams of methamphetamine, 12 Xanax bars, methadone, paraphernalia and $670 in cash, according to the post.
According to the Madison County Jail web site, the two people charged were 42-year-old Joseph Ramey, and 43-year-old Amanda Lee Mullins, both of Berea.
