Madison deputies trying to identify suspect in felony theft case

MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Madison County Sheriff’s office is asking the community for help in finding a theft suspect. Deputies released photos of the man who they say broke into a vehicle outside of a church.

Investigators say it happened around noon on March 20. Deputies say the man walked into Union City Christian Church through an unlocked door. According to the sheriff’s office, the man eventually left, then broke into a vehicle and stole a purse.

Deputies say the man faces felony theft charges. He might have been driving a light-colored van, possibly silver. Anyone with information on the man is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 859-623-1511.
