Madison County superintendent announces retirement

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – Madison County Public Schools Superintendent Elmer Thomas announced his retirement at the school board work session Thursday, according to the Richmond Register.

As to the timing, Thomas told the newspaper after serving the school system for about 30-years in a variety of capacities, the timing was right.

His retirement will come some time before August 1, 2018, according to the report.
