Madison County opens application window for Charitable Giving Program
RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – Madison County Fiscal Court announced the opening of the 2017/2018 Charitable Giving Program grant cycle. The program, which provides gap funding for nonprofit programs focused on assisting Madison County residents, is in its third year. This year’s program will award $37,000 in grants to eligible recipients.
For an organization to be eligible for the Charitable Giving Program, they need to be a 501c3 non-profit organization that provide service to the Madison County area including jurisdictions within the cities of Richmond and Berea. Submitting a W9 form will be needed in advance with the grant application.
“This program helps non-profit organizations needing financial gap funding for projects or services for those in need,” said Madison County Judge Executive Reagan Taylor. “The Charitable Giving Program enables the court to be strategic in funding projects that have a high return on investment for our community.”
The Charitable Giving Program awards charities with full or partial funding upon the recommendation of a Review Committee appointed by Judge Reagan Taylor. Past recipients awarded with our Giving Program Grant include Hospice and Hope’s Wings.
