Man accused of asking young girl to model underwear in clothing store

MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Richmond police arrest a man they say asked an underage girl to model underwear for him at a store then threatened to “slice” an officer who was investigating.

According to court documents, officers were called to Rue 21 in the Richmond Centre, after a woman said 50-year-old Dennis Oder approached her and her 15-year-old daughter and asked them to go to a movie with him and, when they refused, they say Oder handed them underwear and asked them to model them for him.

He then left.

Police say they found Oder walking out of JCPenney wearing clothes with tags on them.

They say he claimed he was taking the clothes for “a test run.”

As police were bringing him back into JCPenny, they say Oder began yelling, cursing and making sexually explicit comments.

When the officers took him to the dressing room to change out of the stolen clothes and into his clothes, documents say Oder pulled out a knife and attempted to open it.

He then told the officer he was a “Hell’s Angel” and threatened to “slice” him, according to documents.

Police say Oder admitted to taking four Oxycodone and said he wanted juveniles model underwear for him.

He is charged with harassment, terroristic threatening, unlawful transaction with a minor, promoting a minor in a sexual performance, disorderly conduct, shoplifting, and public intoxication.
