LPD: Woman thrown to ground, robbed early Wednesday morning

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Police are searching for a suspect they say threw a woman to the ground and robbed early Wednesday morning.

According to police, it happened just before one o’clock on Ward Drive.

They say the woman was approached by a man she knew, who threw her down, implied he had a weapon, and stole money from her.

Police say he then drove off.

They say the woman was not hurt.

Police are still searching for that known suspect.
