LPD: Woman robbed at gunpoint in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police are looking for a man they say robbed a woman at gunpoint as she walked down the street on Thursday night.

Investigators say the woman told them she was walking along North Limestone at Tenth Street around 8:15 p.m.

She told police a man in dark clothing came up to her, pulled out a gun and demanded she give him everything in her purse.  She told investigators the armed robber got her cash and ran off toward North Limestone.  Police say the woman wasn’t hurt.

She went to a nearby gas station on North Broadway and called police.

The woman’s name was not released.
