LPD: Traffic slowed on I-75 after Jeep rear-ended semi

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say a woman escaped serious injury after the Jeep she was driving rear-ended a semi Thursday night on I-75 in Fayette County.

Investigators say the woman was driving northbound when she ran into the back of the semi as she tried to take Exit 104, which is the Athens-Boonesboro exit.  Police say the front of her vehicle was wedged underneath the semi. 

Investigators say when officers arrived on the scene, the woman was "up and walking around."  Police say she was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.  Her name was not released.  Investigators say the truck driver was not hurt. 

All northbound lanes were temporarily closed near the collision scene, which backed-up traffic around 10:30 p.m.
