LPD: Teenager avoids serious injury after running into traffic

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say a 14-year old boy avoided serious injury after running into traffic and hitting the side of a passing car.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday on the inner loop of New Circle Road near Eastland Parkway, according to investigators.

Police say the teen tried to cross New Circle Road against the traffic light.

Because of his age, the teenager’s name wasn’t released.
