LPD searching for driver in Sunday morning crash

Lexington, Ky. (WTVQ)  — Lexington Police are searching for a driver involved in an early morning crash on Sunday.

According to LPD, around 1 a.m. Sunday morning officers were called the 100 block of North Broadway after a car crashed into a building.

Officials say the driver had been driving down the wrong way on Short Street, after turning onto North Broadway the driver hit another vehicle.

The driver then attempted to flee, lost control of their vehicle and crashed into a building. The driver then fled the scene.

No injuries have been reported and the Lexington Fire Department has cleared the building as structurally sound.

LPD has no suspect information at this time.
