LPD releases video of BB gun attack in Lexington neighborhood

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police hope newly released surveillance video will help them track down those responsible for a BB gun attack in a Lexington neighborhood.

On Thursday, the Lexington Police Department received reports that more than a dozen homes and vehicles were struck by shots fired from a BB gun in the Meadowthorpe neighborhood.

Numerous windows were shattered.

Police say, based on surveillance video in the area, it appears the shots were fired from a light-colored passenger car between the hours of 2 and 3 a.m. Thursday.

Police have stepped up patrols in the neighborhood.
