LPD: Pizza delivery drivers robbed in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police are still searching for multiple suspects, after they say two drivers were robbed last night delivering pizza.

According to Lexington Police, they responded to a call at 11:00 p.m. on 845 Red Mile Road, about a robbery at The Mark at Lexington Apartments.

Police say a driver was delivering pizza to an apartment unit, when three male suspects opened the door.

According to Lexington Police, one of the suspects struck the driver in the face, stole the pizza, and ran off.

Police say all three suspects ran from the scene after taking the pizza.

They say the driver was not injured.

Police also say the apartment was vacant that the suspects were in, and is still being renovated.

Lexington Police say they are still investigating.

Shortly after, Lexington Police say they responded to a second robbery call at 12:08 a.m. on the 400 block of Kenton Street.

Police say a driver was delivering pizza when a suspect came from between two houses, pointed a gun at the driver, took the pizza, and ran off.

Police say they attempted to locate the suspect with K-9 units, but was unsuccessful in the search.

They say the driver was not injured.

Police say the investigation is still ongoing.
