LPD: Multiple gas station robberies could be connected

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington police say several recent robberies or attempted robberies at gas stations could be connected.

There have been five robberies or attempted robberies at over the past week in Lexington.

Police say the suspect and weapon description in each are similar.

They say in each incident, one or two men dressed in hooded sweatshirts enter the gas station, pull out a handgun, and demand money from the clerk. The robberies or attempted robberies believed to be connected are:

Nov. 25 – 2:45 a.m. – Shell station at 1975 Nicholasville Road

Nov. 26 – 2:15 a.m. – Circle K at W. Main Street & Forbes Road

Nov. 28 – 1:15 a.m. – Thornton’s at 1120 Winchester Road

Nov. 28 – 2:45 a.m. – Super America at Tates Creek Road & Malabu Drive

Nov. 28 – 3:30 a.m. – Speedway at 2900 Richmond Road

The Lexington Police Department is asking the public for help as it continues to investigate these crimes.
