LPD: Man shot in park

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say a man was shot in the chest and arm while walking in Martin Luther King Park around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday. 

Police say the victim was walking through the park to get to his sister’s house when he was approached by a man. They say there was an exchange between the two and the victim was shot. Police say he ran to his sister’s house and called 911.

The victim was taken to the the University of Kentucky hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police are still searching for the suspect.
