LPD: Man shot during drug deal

LEXINGTON, Ky.(WTVQ) -Police say they believe a shooting early Tuesday morning in Lexington was the result of a drug-deal gone bad.

They say it happened in the parking lot of the shopping center off Pimlico Parkway.

At around 12:30 a.m. they got the call that a man arrived at Saint Joe East, suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper leg.

His injuries are not life-threatening.

Police say the victim, along with another man, pulled into the parking lot and met up with some other people for a drug transaction.

They say someone reached into the window of the vehicle, shot the victim and then took off.

Police are still searching for the suspects.
