LPD: Man assaults police during Wal-Mart robbery

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Police have arrested a man they say assaulted loss prevention officers and police while robbing a Wal-Mart.

According to police, Monday evening around 6:30, Christopher Davis attempted to steal batteries from the Wal-Mart near Russell Cave Road.

Police say loss prevention officers tried to stop Davis, which caused him to assault them.

When police arrived, they say Davis resisted arrest and assaulted them as well.

He is charged with robbery, assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, burglary, and terroristic threatening.
