LPD: Man arrested for Rape

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police have arrested a man after they say he raped a woman while holding her at knife point.

The man arrested is 50-year-old Gregory Roe.

Police say on September 7th, a woman and her friend were walking home on North Broadway when Roe pulled up next to them on a blue moped.

They say the woman got on the moped with Roe and he drove her to the parking lot of a business on Winchester Road.

Police say that’s when Roe started yelling at the woman and grabbing her by the hair.

They also say he punched the woman multiple times and pulled out a knife forcing the woman to take her dentures out to give him oral sex.

According to Police, she was able to get away after a struggle and ran to a nearby gas station to call police.

Roe is charged with sodomy, unlawful imprisonment, rape, assault, and tampering with physical evidence.
