LPD: Man arrested after overnight stand off

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police have arrested a man after they say he held a woman against her will at a home located on Jefferson Street following a dispute.

Police say the man arrested is 38-year-old Robert Patton.

Police say they got the call a little after 10:30 last night.

According to Lexington Police, the woman called dispatch and said the man held her against her will forcefully with a possible weapon involved.

Police say the Emergency Response Unit assisted with the investigation and brought a robot inside the home.

Police also say the Emergency Response Unit waited outside for three hours before an arrest was made.

Police say they found Patton sleeping on the couch and arrested him.

Patton is charged with wanton endangerment and unlawful imprisonment.
