LPD looking for witnesses to fatal crash

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Police Department is asking the public for information regarding a fatal collision.

Investigators say on June 2 at 10:56 p.m., officers responded to an injury collision on Richmond Road between Ellerslie Park Boulevard and Coys Lane, across from Jacobson Park.

They say a gold 1997 Toyota Corolla was traveling inbound on Richmond Road, crossed the center median and overturned.

The 26-year-old driver of the car was killed in the crash and three passengers were injured, according to police.

Passengers in the Corolla say another vehicle, also traveling inbound on Richmond Road, started moving into their lane, causing the driver of the car they were in to swerve out of the way and lose control.

Police say they want to talk to any other witnesses to the crash.
