LPD looking for pickup truck in deadly hit-and-run

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police are looking for a pickup truck and driver believed to have been involved in a deadly hit-and-run Sunday morning.

Investigators say 38-year-old Aungra Lemon Edwards was found dead on the side of Old Todds Road near Ashby Glen Place around 7:30 a.m.

Police say evidence at the scene indicates Edwards was hit by a vehicle that was traveling east on Old Todds Road.

Investigators think he was hit around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, November 5, 2017.

Police say the driver left the scene after hitting Edwards.  Investigators say a witness reported hearing the collision and looked outside to see what is believed to be a 2002-2005 silver Dodge Ram pickup truck driving away.  Police say the pickup would have damage on the passenger side headlamp and light assembly in addition to missing flecks of paint.
