LPD launches new unsolved homicides website
Lexington, Ky. (WTVQ) — The Lexington Police Department has a new initiative to help bring justice to victims and families of unsolved homicides in Lexington.
The unsolved homicide website features all unsolved homicide cases from 1974 to 2023.
The goal is to bring awareness to cases and help detectives solve them through tips and information.
LPD says in homicides sometimes all it takes is one piece of information to help an investigation and bring justice to a victim and their family.
Each case on the website has the victim’s name, homicide date, case number, and a case overview, as well as a photograph of the victim, if available.
Detectives are asking anyone with photos of the victims to reach out to the Lexington Police Department so pictures can be updated on the website.
