LPD investigating two shootings over the weekend

Lexington, Ky. (WTVQ) — The Lexington Police Department is investigating two shootings that happened on the evening of March 2 and morning of March 3.

According to police, around 9:20 p.m. Saturday night, officers were called to a hospital for a person who had been shot in the 300 block of E. Fifth Street.

The victim had non-life threatening injuries.

Then just after 6:10 a.m. Sunday morning, officers were sent to the 200 block of Hedgewood Court for a shooting that happened in the area of Woodhill and Larkhill.

The victim was taken to the hospital with reported non-life threatening injuries.

The investigations into these shootings are still on going.
