LPD helicopter helps find convicted felon

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – People who live in the Mount McKinley Way area of Lexington had an unexpected visitor Friday night, the Lexington Police Department’s helicopter.

The chopper assisted officers on the ground find a convicted felon in a house after police say he pulled a gun on a neighbor during an argument and ran in the house after police were called by another concerned neighbor.

It’s against the law for a convicted felon to have a gun.

Police say the man did come out of the house peacefully to talk to officers.

Investigators say the other man involved in the argument also pulled a gun.

No shots were fired and no one was hurt, according to police.

No names were released.

As of this writing, investigators were still talking to the ex-con, so no charges had been filed or arrests made.
