LPD: Delivery driver robbed, shot at

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police believe a pizza delivery driver was set up to get robbed in Lexington.

Police tell us the driver showed up to deliver a pizza in the 300-block of Ohio Street. He knocked but no one came to the door.

The driver turned to leave and police say a man walked up to him with a handgun and demanded money.

As the suspect ran off, he fired a shot, hitting the delivery driver’s car.

Police think the suspect got into a waiting car nearby.
The delivery driver was not hurt.
