LPD: Burglar mistakenly hits same apartment twice

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police say it appears a burglar got a little confused when he showed up at one Lexington apartment.

Police say, at around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, someone started banging on the door of an apartment in the 800-block of Ward Drive.

The person in the apartment opened the door to find a man with a handgun standing there.

Police say the man demanded money and left when he got it.

The victim was on the phone with police, when he heard a banging on the back door of his apartment.

It was the same suspect, but this time with a woman.

Police say the suspect probably thought he was going to a different apartment to burglarize.

The two suspects got into a vehicle and left.
