UPDATE: Suspect charged in restaurant tip jar theft

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police in Lexington says a suspect in the theft of a restaurant’s tip jar has been identified and charged.

Officers released surveillance video of the theft, that shows a man stealing from the tip jar at Sav’s Grill on February 12th.

Today, they say 31-year-old Corey Euler, of Stamping Ground, was served a warrant at the Fayette County Detention Center, where he was lodged on unrelated charges.

Police say their investigation also revealed that Euler stole a tablet computer from the restaurant.

LPD asks for help identifying suspect in tip jar theft

The Lexington Police Department has released surveillance video they hope will lead to the arrest of a man they say stole money from the tip jar of a local restaurant.

Officers say on Sunday, February 12, a man entered Sav’s Grill on South Limestone Avenue while an employee had briefly stepped out of the restaurant.

According to police, the man can be seen on surveillance video taking money from a tip jar next to the register.
