LPD asking for help solving Lexington’s latest homicide

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in a homicide investigation.

Officers say they responded to a shooting at the Office Lounge at 1533 Eastland Parkway just after 2:00 a.m. Saturday, May 19.

They found 45-year-old Demarcus Lamont Clay suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Police say a second victim arrived at a hospital with non life-threatening injuries shortly after officers arrived on the scene of the shooting.

They say the victim had also been shot at the same location as Clay.

Police say several people were seen in the area at the time of the shooting and they are asking anyone with information to contact them at (859) 258-3600.
