LPD: Arrests made after three robberies, chase
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Back-to-back robberies in Lexington end with a chase, and three people in custody.
Lexington police say it started just before 2 a.m. Monday, when a man armed with a gun walked into the Waffle House on Richmond Road and robbed it.
Witnesses say he was dressed all in blue and wore a blue bandanna around his face.
Then, less than a half-hour later, police say the Waffle House on Walden Drive was robbed at gunpoint.
Shortly after that, police say the Shell Station on Man o’ War and Nicholasville Road was robbed at gunpoint.
In those robberies, witnesses say the suspect was also dressed in blue.
After the last robbery, officers spotted a car suspected in the robberies.
The driver led police on a chase that ended on Versailles Road in Woodford County.
Police arrested three people, including a man they say was wearing all blue.
Police say there was also a young child in the car.
The child was not hurt, according to police.
The names of the suspects have not been released.
