Louisville’s Mayor announces plan to run for third term

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)- Louisville’s Mayer has announced he plans to seek a third term in 2018.

Democrat Greg Fischer says his administration has accomplished “Great things” for Louisville, but there’s more to be done.

Fischer is a 59-year-old businessman who was first elected mayor in 2010.

He has promoted the roughly $9 billion in construction projects underway or planned for the city, but has faced scrutiny over rising rates of violent crime.
