Louisville mayor’s son faces drug charges

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Metro Louisville police have cited the mayor’s son on drug charges.

WDRB-TV (http://cjky.it/12VYN1O) reports police cited 24-year-old George Fischer on Thursday with two counts of drug possession and one count of storing a prescription improperly after finding him slumped over the wheel of a car.

Police say an officer found marijuana and pills in an unmarked container in the vehicle.

Mayor Greg Fischer said in a statement that his son "made a bad decision" and that the family is addressing the situation.

George Fischer was ordered to appear in court next month.
