Louisville man charged in child porn case

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – An undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation by State Police landed a Jefferson County man in jail on child pornography charges.

The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after it says 48-year old Timothy Acker, of Louisville, was uploading images of child sexual exploitation online.

A search warrant was executed at Acker’s home December 20, 2017.  State Police say equipment used in the alleged crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination.

The investigation is ongoing, according to State Police.

Acker was initially charged with one count of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor, according to KSP.

He was lodged in the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections, according to State Police.
