Louisville couple claims $1 million Powerball ticket

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A couple from Louisville was the lucky winner of $1 million in Saturday’s Powerball drawing.

Their winning ticket matched the five white ball numbers but not the Powerball to win the game’s second prize.

The winning numbers were: 09-13-42-48-60 and Powerball 18.

A couple, who wished to remain anonymous, presented the ticket at Kentucky Lottery headquarters first thing Monday morning, according to the lottery.

The winning ticket was bought at Circle K #3303 on Valley Station Road in Louisville Friday evening.

The lottery says the two found out they were winners after they went to a store to check their ticket. The clerk who scanned the ticket told them it was over $600 and too much for the store to pay out.

After taxes, the couple walked out of lottery headquarters with a check for $710,002.84, according to the lottery.
