LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- According to the Herald-Leader, a Louisiana woman was arrested Monday on four counts of negligent homicide in connection to a crash that killed four members of a Lexington family in Texas in 2016.
The newspaper says 61-year-old Brenda Lea Kenner has been indicted in connection to the crash that killed 46-year-old Israel Avelar and his three sons. Israel Avelar’s wife, Hilda Avelar, his mother, Sarah Abaraca, and his 11-year-old daughter were injured in the crash.
The crash happened on Highway 315 near Carthage, Texas. The family’s van was pushed into on-coming traffic and hit by a tractor trailer.
