Louisa man arrested on child pornography charges
LOUISA, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 34-year-old Louisa man was arrested Thursday on child pornography and weapons charges.
According to the Kentucky State Police, Phillip Adam Webb is charged with two counts of first-offense distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under the age of 12, and one count of possession of a handgun by convicted felon.
Webb was taken into custody after an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. Kentucky State Police Post 14 and Ashland Police began the investigation after discovering the suspect uploading images of child exploitation online, the KSP said.
The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant Thursday at a home in Louisa in Lawrence County on the West Virginia line. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and will be taken to Ashland Police Department for examination.
Also, a handgun was found in Webb’s bedroom, the KSP said, and his criminal history revealed he is a convicted felon.
The investigation is ongoing by Detective David Boarman.
He was lodged in Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
