Lockdown lifted at East Jessamine Middle School

JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – East Jessamine Middle School briefly went on lockdown Wednesday morning after the district says a student reported seeing an adult with a gun.

Jessamine County Schools says in a post on its Facebook page that the school immediately went into lockdown and police were called.

School officials say what the student actually saw was another student from a lengthy distance.

They say after it was determined there was no intruder and no danger, the lockdown was lifted.
