Lockdown lifted for Anderson Co. schools after suspects taken into custody

ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Authorities say they are interviewing two people following a scare that forced three Anderson County Schools into lockdown.

According to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office they got a call Tuesday morning about two suspicious people near the high school.

As a precaution Saffell Street Elementary and Anderson County Middle School were put on lockdown.

All other schools were put on alert.

According to the sheriff, both suspects were taken into custody and the lockdown was lifted.

The sheriff says both suspects are currently being questioned.
