Murder suspect back in Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- A Lexington man wanted for murder has been extradited to Kentucky from Michigan.

Lexington police say officers captured Courtney Kidd on July 1st and booked him into the Dearborn, Michigan jail.

Kidd was wanted on murder and robbery charges.

Officers say in May, Kidd shot and killed 28-year-old Jordan Yeast on Lakeshore Drive.

Investigators say they found Yeast’s body inside of a car.

Police say they believe Yeast and Kidd knew each other.

Court documents say the shooting was captured by surveillance cameras in the area.

Kidd pleaded not guilty in court Tuesday afternoon.

He received a ten thousand dollar bond for the robbery charged and no bond was set for the murder charge, according to officials.

Kidd goes back to court on July 28th.
