LG&E and KU Employees Give To Nonprofits

Kentucky Utilities Company and Louisville Gas and Electric Company employees gave back to the communities where they live and work on "Giving Tuesday."

For the sixth year in a row, employee pledges to 27 nonprofit organizations across Kentucky totaled more than $1 million. With additional contributions from the LG&E and KU Foundation, the companies’ overall total reached $1.6 million. It’s part of utilities’ annual charitable giving campaign, called ‘Power of One.’
 

More than 70 percent of KU and LG&E employees participate in the Power of One. The campaign has raised $12 million since 2005.
