Family of seven displaced in duplex fire in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A family of seven was displaced Friday night when a duplex caught fire, according to the Lexington Fire Department.

Investigators say the fire started in the vacant side of a duplex in the 200 block of Simba Way just before 9:00 p.m.

There was moderate-to-severe damage to the duplex, according to firefighters.

No one was hurt.

The cause is under investigation.
