LFD: Investigating to see if house fire caused by lightning strike

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Fire Department is looking into whether a house fire was caused by a lightning strike Wednesday night.

The call came-in around 9:15 p.m. for a house fire in the 1100 block of Zoeller Court in the Griffin Gate community, according to investigators.

The fire was reported after strong storms moved through the area.

The fire may have started in a wall, according to investigators.

There was also a gas leak reported from the stove. Columbia Gas was called to the scene.

No injuries were reported.
