LFD investigates afternoon fire

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Lexington Fire Department is investigating a fire that occurred Sunday afternoon.

According to LFD officials, around 4:30 p.m. crews were called to the 1800 block of Wayland drive for a fire.

Upon arrival, crews saw light smoke coming from the home. They were able to find the small fire, contain it and extinguish it.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators were on scene to determine the cause and origin.
