LexTran bus hit by stray bullet in Lexington shooting
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – No one was injured after a LexTran bus was hit by a stray bullet from a shooting while dropping off passengers at the intersection of Woodhill and Codell drives.
Police say the shooting occurred just after noon when guns were fired between a white pickup truck and a white passenger car.
One of the bullets hit the bus’ windshield.
Officers say the two vehicles involved in the shooting sped off in different directions. No suspects have been arrested at this time.
Passengers were transferred to another bus, while the affected bus was taken to have the windshield repaired.
