LEXPARK adding parking spaces, loading zone downtown

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Parking Authority will be adding a temporary loading zone and 4 metered parking spaces on the 100 block of S. Upper Street where the CentrePointe project has blocked parking.  This after local business owners expressed concerns over inadequate parking in the area.  The spaces should be in place by Wednesday.

In a LEXPARK press release, Liza Hendley-Betz of Failte Irish Shop expressed her happiness with the situation, saying "During the hard times ahead, this is going to help businesses immensely.  It is wonderful that the city has taken our idea and agreed to it.  We really appreciate working with LEXPARK and the city to make this happen."
