Lexington will not open pools this summer

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington’s public pools will not open this summer because of the health risks of COVID-19, according to Mayor Linda Gorton.

The mayor says the City is following broad guidance from Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear and the CDC. Other Kentucky cities, including Covington and Paducah, have also closed their pools this summer.
