Lexington Wear Orange Peace Walk
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – As students in Parkland, Florida prepare to graduate Sunday, students in Lexington are among those who marched against gun violence Saturday.
The Wear Orange Peace Walk is part of Lexington’s second year recognizing Wear Orange Day.
Students in Chicago started the day as a way to recognize their classmate Hadiya Pendleton. Pendleton was shot to death in 2013.
People across the country wear orange in June because it’s the color hunters wear for safety.
