Lexington Preparing For Incoming Weather
Lexington road crews have already prepared streets for the wintry mix that’s moving into the area.
"The plan is to be staffed with 24-hour coverage. We’re ready," said Mayor Jim Gray.
Road crews pre-treated trouble spots such as hills, bridges and approaches to stoplights with a mixture of salt brine.
Day shift snow plow drivers will work until 8:00 p.m., when the late shift begins, responding as needed.
The city has an ample supply of road salt.
