LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington police are trying to figure out who fired shots Tuesday afternoon that hit a SUV.

Officers say around 5:30 p.m. they received a shots fired call at North Broadway and Loudon Avenue.

That’s where they found an empty SUV with multiple bullet holes in it.

Witnesses told officers they saw people running from it, but investigators don’t know if those people were victims or the ones doing the shooting.

Police say, as far as they know, no one was hurt.

As investigators examined the scene, outbound North Broadway was temporarily shutdown, which did impact the late afternoon commute.
